20 Day Immunity Code Gut Reset: How To Heal Your Gut Naturally
This gut reset protocol is adapted primarily from Joel Greene’s book The Immunity Code: The New Paradigm for Immune Centric Health and Radical Anti-Aging with additional information from the book club Facebook group that has grown around it and my personal experience implementing it. You will definitely want to get the book and join the Facebook group to help fill in the gaps of his different protocols.
20 Day Immunity Code Gut Reset Challenge Calendar
First, number 20 days on your calendar starting on a Monday, or whatever date you plan to start the program. We have a downloadable 20 day calendar PDF you can print and put on your refridgerator or any place that is convenient for you. You can track your progress and check off each daily item as you go. What you will need over the next 20 days will be documented day by day below. There are some supplies that you may want to acquire if you don’t have them already.
What Foods Heal Your Gut
Apple Skins or Apple Skin Powder
You will need about 60 apples. I know it sounds crazy, but if you read the book then you understand why they are needed. Organic apples are best if you can find and afford them. You will only eat the peeling. You can freeze the rest of the apple for pies, baked apples, or applesauce.
If you can’t do apple peels or are on the go Apple skin powder can be used as a replacement.
If you want to speed up the process of peeling all those apples you can get an apple peeler as seen below.
Red Phenol Powder
You can get organic red phenol powder at different price points. I chose Organifi just because I know the brand and wanted to make sure and get the “good stuff” for my first gut reset. I found it was a little less expensive buying directly from Organifi if you use Ben Greenfield’s discount code BENG20 (20% off) than on Amazon. You have to pay to ship using Organifi but the discount more than made up for it.
HMO Powder
HMO (human milk organism) Powder is also used in the protocol. HMO or Baby formula with HMO on the label can be added to a morning shake or a glass of water. HMOs are prebiotics initially found in mother’s milk and helps human babies build a healthy gut and immune system from scratch. HMO can also be found in capsule form.
Day by Day Instructions: How To Reset Your Gut
Day 1
- Eat skins of one or two apples (or apple skin powder 1/2 tsp) in the morning before breakfast.
Day 2
- Eat skins of one or two apples (or apple skin powder 1/2 tsp) in the morning before breakfast.
Day 3
- Eat skins of one or two apples (or apple skin powder 1/2 tsp) in the morning before breakfast.
Day 4

- 1 gram of HMO powder in the morning before breakfast.

- 1 gram of HMO powder in the morning before breakfast.
Day 8
