Disile Elite Basketball Socks Review: 3 Most Common Problems

Professional basketball players and casual players agree that the right socks are essential, which is why athletes love Disile Basketball Socks. Although many people usually don’t give socks much thought when talking about basketball, the fact is that quality socks can make a massive difference in both comfort and style. If you want to see what happens when you don’t wear good socks take a look at the picture of my toe further down in the review. Yes, it is nasty! The 250-pound man that came down on my toe didn’t help either. Then it keeps getting retraumatized with all the starting and stopping in basketball.

This Disile basketball socks review will provide information on what you should look for in socks if you play basketball and why Disile elite basketball socks are some of the best-selling cushioned athletic sports crew socks for men and women.

Disile Basketball Socks for Men and Women

Disile basketball socks are made with a cushioned footbed and a reinforced heel, which provides additional padding and comfort. The sock is also made up of 80% Nylon and 20% Elastane. The Disile socks have an above the ankle design with a reinforced heel, which is important when playing basketball. All in all I like the socks, but I did note 3 major problems noted by other reviewing the socks.

3 Most Common Problems with Disile Basketball Socks:

  1. The socks can be tight for adults with larger feet as they are built to stretch to fit a larger foot. If you do not like tight or compression feeling socks this may not be for you.
  2. The stink can stick with the sock. There were some reports of not being able to wash the stink off of the sock after a limited time of usage. We use a pretty aggressive cleaning treatment for all our sweat clothes and haven’t seen that issue.
  3. Some people think these are Mumubreal basketball socks that have a specific right and left foot sock. These socks do not have that differentiation. There are several brands on Amazon that look very similar. Likely because they do sell well. You do get some complaints with quality, but almost any vendor can have a a bad production run.

Disile basketball socks are available in both men’s and women’s sizes and come in a wide variety of color options. The socks feature a non-slip design that provides grips to keep your feet safely in place. The Disile basketball socks are perfect for both basketball and other sports, including cross-training, running, and cardio.

The problem with wearing the wrong socks

If you’re new to the game or a parent buying your kid his sports uniform, you may be wondering why a player needs special socks. Won’t everyday socks do?

Basketball is a high-impact sport. Unfortunately, everyday socks are not made to withstand the rigors of basketball, and so they may be a poor choice for playing the game.

Running up and down the court, quick twists and turns, and quick stops can cause severe injuries to the feet.

According to The American Academy of Podiatric Sports Medicine toe injuries, blisters, ankle sprains, achilles heel, and patellar tendonitis are common injuries that arise from playing basketball.

A quality pair of socks will help cushion the foot, stabilize the ankle, and soak up sweat.

So what is considered a quality sock?

Material

The material that the socks are made from is very important. Cotton is a favorite material for socks but is rarely used in performance socks. The biggest problem with cotton is that although it does absorb sweat quickly, it doesn’t breathe. This means that moisture doesn’t evaporate back into the air, but rather stays on your skin and creates bacteria, odor, and discomfort.

Although polyester is a wonderfully comfortable material, it doesn’t absorb sweat and may even make your feet sweat more.

The best performance socks are made from a mixture of fabric such as nylon and polyester.

These materials will wick away moisture, but also make them breathable so the sweat doesn’t stick to the skin. They also retain their shape much longer, which makes them comfortable.

Disile Basketball socks are made the most desirable blend of material. They are made from 80% cotton, 15% nylon, and 5% polyester. This blend of materials will draw moisture away from your skin so your feet stay dry and comfortable.

Thickness

How thick you want your socks is a personal preference and how narrow your feet are. In general, you want a sock that is thick enough to hold your feet firmly in your shoes when jumping, turning, and twisting. This is why you will see basketball players wear two pairs of socks. You don’t want the foot to move around in the shoe, even a little, because it will rub against the skin and cause blisters.

Thicker socks will typically offer more support and comfort. In addition, thicker socks will last longer and prevent blisters and slippage.

Disile basketball socks go above and beyond in comfort. These socks are comfortable. They have a soft padded sole and a reinforced heel and toe. They feel great when you’re running or doing any other activity. They offer great protection for your feet.

Arch support and compression

Basketball players put in hours of drills, with lots of running, jumping, twists, turns, and stop and starts, so having socks that are damp, or ill-fitting are not only distracting but could cause blisters, toenail problems, and more.

Cushioning and arch support are two key elements of athletic socks. The socks for athletes should be padded, with special care given to the heel and ankle area. This helps prevent the formation of greasy heel and ankle areas, which can be a breeding ground for germs and bacteria.

When your feet are not supported, your whole body feels the pain. Your knees and hips hurt especially, which is why basketball players need to wear high-quality, supportive shoes.

You need socks that provide arch support. The sock should be designed to use compression to reduce foot fatigue and keep the sock in place.

Disile Basketball sock’s new and improved design focuses on stability, comfort, and protection against blisters. This is achieved by a special feature that keeps the sock in place and prevents it from slipping. The arch support is designed to reduce foot fatigue, keeping the wearer energized and comfortable.

Disile Sock Alternatives

These may be good alternative options. The Underarmour sock is at a higher price point and the Mumubreal is at a similar price point to the Disile socks.
