G League Team NBA Affiliates
Here is the list of current G League teams with their city, state, and affiliated NBA team. You will note that two teams do not have an affiliate. Team Ignite provides top young players an alternative development path to prepare for the NBA outside of college basketball. It focuses on accelerated skill training and simulation of NBA gameplay. The Mexico City Capitanes joined the G League and starting playing in 2021. The G League granted the flexibility for the Capitanes to operate independently when launching in Mexico.

A big reason guys get stuck in the G-League is because they don’t realize the position they’re trying out for. It’s like going to a job interview thinking you’re going to be the CFO of the company, and they’re looking for someone to clean the bathrooms.
