The list of USFL (United States Football League) teams accounts for only the reformed league that started play in 2022 instead of the 18 its predecessor had in total when it ended in 1986.

Yes, and I am old enough to remember this, and for some reason owned an LA Express football jersey. These are all the teams that have historically existed in the USFL.
You can see that the team mascot and name transfer between cities. There was a lot of franchise movement in the short-lived league in the early 1980s.

USFL 2022 Reboot
We will be interested to see how long the USFL reboot can last. The XFL reboot got snuffed out by you know what before it could even get started. Here is a quote from the United States Football League’s Brian Woods:
